Items, as published

1. 1Early Mid

Author's category · Buy Left to Right. Buy compress when Ult is on cooldown (it lowers ult cd even while on cd)

   1. 1

      Intensifying Magazine

Buy if you think that you can get away with gun in the lane. Your goal when you buy this is you will shoot the enemy a lot with your gun + take guardian faster after 5 min.

   2. 2

      Extra Charge

In lane use them to shove wave. YOu can now spawn turrets to push the wave unlike before because we have so many charges from the T2 upgrade. Spam turrets if you are near max charges for info on map.

   3. 3

      Extra Stamina

Game changer of an item in lane. Extra stamina alone can let you play like a 3 stamina Hero. Builds into Arcane Surge.

   4. 4

      Arcane Surge

      Built from Extra Stamina

Arcane Surge before using Ult and Heal (if maxed, otherwise don't bother) and late game for turrets, especially effective during base defense or base sieges.

   5. 5

      Mystic Slow

Slows down enemies hit by wall and turrets even more allowing your ally or your ultimate to deal more consistent damage. Builds into Lightning scroll later.

   6. 6

      Mystic Expansion

Imbued on ultimate by default to make the AoE gigantic. Remember to buy Compress CDR on ult if it's on cooldown before this.

   7. 7

      Enchanter's Emblem

S tier item this patch because spirit damage is META. This provides offensive and defensive bonuses the best of both worlds + CDR.

   8. 8

      Enduring Speed

Our best item for mobility during ultimate. A must buy item if doing ult build. Remember, you can climb stuff then mantle boost during ult which bypasses the ult self slow.

2. 2Situational Laneoptional

   Author's category

   1. 1

      Extra Regen

   2. 2

      Monster Rounds

PUSH WAVE AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.

3. 3Mid Late

Author's category · Buy LIGHTNING SCROLL ONLY if they have channelled abilities, if not SKIP it for ESCALATING EXPOSURE

   1. 1

      Compress Cooldown

Buy this to lower ULT CD. Make sure you buy it BEFORE you ult because it won't lower CDR if ULT is on cooldown anymore (it used to).

   2. 2

      Mystic Vulnerability

Buy early to apply your third debuff when spirit damage is applied via mainly ultimate, but turrets and wall can too. Your teammates also benefit from this reduction on enemies.

   3. 3

      Escalating Exposure

      Built from Mystic Vulnerability

Escalating is better than Boundless after exactly 4.23s of gaining stacks (6 stacks) without any time lag inbetween. Boundless for this test had Mystic Vuln while Escalating had Improved Spirit.

   4. 4

      Stamina Mastery

      Built from Extra Stamina

Allows you to air dash move across the map & scale buildings or maneuver your ult against close range enemies with more air dashes, jumps etc... BEST ITEM EVER.

   5. 5

      Greater Expansion

      Built from Mystic Expansion

Buy when you want ULT SPLASH AOE BIGGER (THEY CANT JUMP) + turrets to have very high ability range to attack from very far distances. Also applies to heal and ult AoE.

   6. 6

      Duration Extender

Extremely efficient duration for its cost on Ult. Allows you to have significant Ult uptime. Remember to pair it with Unstoppable and/or Indomitable so you are guaranteed to keep the ult going.

   7. 7

      Superior Duration

      Built from Duration Extender

Buy this generally to make items like Unstoppable last longer so that you have more ult uptime.

   8. 8

      Unstoppable

Buy when enemies keep stunning you out of your ult. ALWAYS use unstoppable before ulting. Sometimes use METAL SKIN before ulting too. Pairs well w/ sup duration.

   9. 9

      Refresher

Buy when you have placed all your turrets/heal and YOU are about to end the game. Place another batch of turrets and another ultimate. Good for base defense or sieges after using up all cooldowns

   10. 10

       Boundless Spirit

This is the 2nd best power increase you can buy in the game while Escalating Exposure is the 1st for 6400 items. Remember that you will get 15% spirit power so make sure you do your SINNERS/STATUE-MAX

   11. 11

       Superior Cooldown

       Built from Compress Cooldown

       1) Hits the last breakpoint for spirit power investment (with all listed items AND rapid recharge), 2) Buy when doing midboss or defending. The CDR is for turret spam with Sup duration.

4. 4Lightning Scroll / Heroic Aura / Utility (Not required, optional items)optional

   Author's category

   1. 1

      Lightning Scroll

      Built from Mystic Slow

Buy ONLY if enemies have channeled spells like Dynamo Ult, Haze ult, Mo&K Ult, Seven Ult (before he ults) etc.. This item becomes less worth it the higher rank you get (I don't buy it at all in Eter5)

   2. 2

      Heroic Aura

Fire rate for turrets. Indespensible for wall max 1st or turrets during MIDBOSS or BASE DEFENSE. Remember to spread turrets the AoE for Heroic is decently big.

   3. 3

      Healbane

Buy this when nobody on your team has Healbane and you desperately need anti-heal. Turrets and ult even wall can apply this.

   4. 4

      Rapid Recharge

      Built from Extra Charge

We have 2 charges on T2 turrets now so this isn't exactly required all the time now. It will take a long time to place x5 turrets while it coolsdown and you get another so x6 etc..

   5. 5

      Alchemical Fire

OUR WAVE/LANE/TROOPER CLEAR IS SOOOO BAD that this item is OKAY for big waves but it works for ur team. And we can use it before ulting for our teammates + high burn damage.

   6. 6

      Diviner's Kevlar

      MORE ULT CDR VERY NICE

   7. 7

      Indomitable

This will basically make you immortal during your ult vs stuns (if no unstop). It is hard to justify buying both this and Unstop. If Lash ults ults/Haze sleeps or Abrams ult, it activates before stun.

   8. 8

      Metal Skin

Buy this against Heroes like Vyper or Haze ult. With Transcendent Cooldown, Metal Skin is 14 cd which is very low. Superior Duration increases makes this go from 5s to 6.4s (HUGE DIFF).

   9. 9

      Healing Booster

      Built from Extra Regen

Good. From 2% heal to 2.4% heal.

   10. 10

       Healing Tempo

       Built from Healing Booster

Buy this to ultra buff turret fire rate especially in areas like Midboss or other areas where you have setup turrets. Healing Nova can also apply Tempo to turrets instead of your Specter.

   11. 11

       Echo Shard

requires Trans CD if you actually want to make a full build around it (the item CDR matters).

   12. 12

       Transcendent Cooldown

       Built from Superior Cooldown

Superior Cooldown does the job just fine. The only time you consider TransCD is when you need item cooldowns.

5. 5Situationaloptional

Author's category · Cultist for 4800 gun (optional). Healbane for cheap anti-heal for turrets, Metal Skin for bullet-heavy enemies.

   1. 1

      Close Quarters

Buy first in lane sometimes over Monster Rounds for more direct HERO damage so less damage to troopers and guardian overall, but more Hero poke/kill power/melee resist for wall + burger boxing.

   2. 2

      Fleetfoot

      1) Hit 4800, 2) Move around the map really fast + no speed loss for box/statue maxxing. 3) Remember to activate Fleetfoot before using ULT (you can't use it during ult cuz bad QoL).

   3. 3

      Active Reload

Reload with lifesteal. Buy this sometimes along with Intensifying Mag to play gun in lane to have more lane presence (and objective damage).

   4. 4

      Cultist Sacrifice

      Built from Monster Rounds

Buy this for wave clear and not for the Ablity Range. Very good item I buy it cuz I often heavy melee + shoot the waves often and still takes forever to kill. This solves clear1 better than Alch Fire.

   5. 5

      Rebuttal

   6. 6

      Trophy Collector

If you think you can get away with it. this item becomes worse in higher level games unfortunately.

   7. 7

      Reactive Barrier

This was an item you could buy late game if you had 1600 and an open slot for the next fight, but now it also has an upgrade that is REALLY GOOD.

   8. 8

      Spirit Lifesteal

If you think that you need spirit lifesteal during ult to leech more because you are tanking hits from enemies, buy this.

   9. 9

      Debuff Reducer

You are buying this for unstoppable anyway, but if you buy it earlier, know that you can do things like once lash slams you with ult, you can spawn wall since u have debuff resist b4 he slams and wall

   10. 10

       Spirit Resilience

We usually don't need this item unless the enemy team has 5 or more spirit Heroes.

   11. 11

       Veil Walker

       its a secret

   12. 12

       Counterspell

Sometimes you need counterspell for Lash ult (he can hold his ult sometimes to bypass Counterspell) or just in general against other forms of stun/cc.

   13. 13

       Warp Stone

Warp stone is very good for scaling buildings or getting out of bad situations. Can go further depending on ability range items as well.

   14. 14

       Healing Nova

If you have Healing Tempo you can give your allies AND TURRETS the TEMPO buff without using Healing Specter.

   15. 15

       Cheat Death

Buy when you need to cast all your spells before dying. Cheat death duration can also be increased with duration items to ensure you cast ALL your spells before dying (or escape!).

   16. 16

       Juggernaut

       Built from Enduring Speed

Good if you have too much money and no slots.

   17. 17

       Golden Goose Egg

Buy after shoving the wave (dont always buy 1st think ok). Basically USE/HATCH AFter min 10:01 for MAXIMUM value (buffs upgrade at 10:00). Generally you pop this around ~10-20 for your next 6400 item.

   18. 18

       Suppressor

Sometimes you want less firerate via turret but I wouldn't recommend this for ult-maxxing most of the time b/c slots are already limited. If you decide to do more gun or turret consider it.

   19. 19

       Slowing Hex

Buy against enemies like Wraith or Dynamo or Stamina abusers like Celeste to prevent them from escaping which essentially forces them to make Magic Dispel.

   20. 20

       Decay

Sometimes the game is about to end whether you win / lose or a critical fight and you just so happen to have 3200 + need anti heal. Decay someone. The range is NUTS w/ Greater exp.

   21. 21

       Spirit Burn

Buy when you need severe anti-heal and they have no sign of debuff remover. You can't reliaby target whoever you want with spirit burn unless you ult.

   22. 22

       Vortex Web

       Built from Slowing Hex

Vortex enemies, press unstoppable if you grabbed a few, ult them.

   23. 23

       Scourge

Pretty strong item these past few patches. Use on ally or yourself. Inside heal ur basically taking zero from spirit

   24. 24

       Cursed Relic

       Hatecrime someone.

1. 1Lane

Author's category · Buy Left to Right > You can often skip Monster Rounds for Intensifying Mag to get immediate power

   1. 1

      Monster Rounds

Buy to clear trooper waves instantly. You can shoot the enemy after you kill all troopers. This is good vs characters that are strong laners (just push wave instead of interacting w them)

   2. 2

      Intensifying Magazine

Best damage item for McGinnis. The charge up (2.5s) doesn't matter to us since our gun is already charging up! You can save up 1600 at the start of the game to immediately get power.

   3. 3

      Extended Magazine

More ammo to shoot and later turns into Escalating Resilience for Bullet Resist too

   4. 4

      Rapid Rounds

WE have a lot of ammo so we get firerate to use that ammo thus dealing damage faster

   5. 5

      Quicksilver Reload

best reload item in the game. instantly reload

   6. 6

      Swift Striker

      Built from Rapid Rounds

We have a lot of ammo so we get firerate to use that ammo thus dealing damage faster + sprint speed to move around + better damage to objectives

   7. 7

      Fleetfoot

Shoot without movespeed penalty (this is op). With enduring speed, slows basically don't faze us and god tier mobility

   8. 8

      Sprint Boots

can buy in lane if the lane is uninteractable so you can do some efficient box runs

   9. 9

      Enduring Speed

      Built from Sprint Boots

Move godspeed with Fleetfoot. You can chase down players and rotate to lanes / jungle camps faster thus you play faster + slow resist

2. 2Situational Laneoptional

   Author's category

   1. 1

      Extra Regen

Too much harass from enemy (you are always less than 50% health). If you are lower than 15% health, just get Healing Rite.

   2. 2

      Extra Stamina

Buy during laning phase against Haze or Warden (they remove our stamina). We can sell this later. Helps us hit 4800 vit very important item

3. 3Mid/Late

Author's category · Buy any of these 1600s out of order before a big fight so you aren't sitting on money. Battle Vest early GOOD

   1. 1

      Bullet Lifesteal

lifesteal earlier if you plan to upgrade it into fury trance or vamp.

   2. 2

      Vampiric Burst

      Built from Bullet Lifesteal

The most crucial 6000 item of the build. Provides massive lifesteal to turn the tables on the enemy and gigaburst them with your gun or gives you extra ammo when trying manfight

   3. 3

      Split Shot

Buy after Vamp. Ensure you never miss while lifestealing from each enemy Hero. Also used to kill the flying assholes that keep jumping around (Lash, Holliday etc)

   4. 4

      Bullet Resist Shredder

brs proc with turrets and merc mag. You can buy this before Merc Mag if there is an important objective and u dont have enough money

   5. 5

      Mercurial Magnum

      Built from Quicksilver Reload

Infinte AMMO. This item scales with boons/levels. The higher your boons, the more damage you get from it. You don't need other spirit items this item does ULTRA dmg even without spirit items

   6. 6

      Spirit Resilience

Doubles up on resist due to how strong resist shred is in this game.

   7. 7

      Escalating Resilience

      Built from Extended Magazine

Resist + damage in one item. Efficient but also SKIPPABLE when you dont need much bullet resist

   8. 8

      Weakening Headshot

works on everything now. can buy earlier if shred is needed

   9. 9

      Crippling Headshot

      Built from Weakening Headshot

Increases damage taken from our gun, turrets, merc mag and inflicts much needed Anti-Heal. Shred also works for teammates. Incredibly slot efficient item.

4. 4Punish Escape Charsoptional

   Author's category

   1. 1

      Slowing Hex

(THIS IS AN ACTIVE ITEM) Buy this to force DISPEL magics AND if they don't have DISPEL, they will easily die after wall + turrets. Cheap + Strong item but it is an active item

   2. 2

      Slowing Bullets

(THIS IS A PASSIVE ITEM THAT BUILDS UP WHEN YOU USE GUN) Chase down enemies with THIS ITEM alongside your Fleetfoot and Enduring Speed item

5. 5Luxuryoptional

Author's category · Armor Piercer for Rat King Ult. Spellslinger for raw DPS. Plated Armor to tank gun damage better. Silencer for spirit

   1. 1

      Toxic Bullets

Lets us deal passive DPS while we gun them down. Often needed due to lack of anti heal on team. Pairs well with Healbane for -58% enemy heal reduction for cheap.

   2. 2

      Heroic Aura

Buy with Fleetfoot to become racecar god. Mainly for resist on your teammates and turrets while active works on turrets too.

   3. 3

      Fury Trance

      Built from Bullet Lifesteal

Gives us firerate and spirit resist. Whenever you feel like you're in danger, RELOAD with turret (QSR) and then use Fury Trance. Massive sustain and tank

   4. 4

      Armor Piercer

Buy against %DAMAGE REDUCTION (IT PIERCES RAT KING ULT), BULLET EVASION, PLATED ARMOR or HIGH BULLET RES. **This item will help you lifesteal way more with Vampiric vs high bullet resist/Plated too**

   5. 5

      Ricochet

Buy if you can combo w/ team (Lash/Dynamo ult). Firerate is also a huge plus

   6. 6

      Spellslinger

The best item DPS wise in the game (Hard to use, but if you learn how its the best DPS item in the game). Items work for +1 stack too. "Combat" is when u take dmg or when atking. Neutrals work too

   7. 7

      Silencer

Buy when you have Ricochet and need more crowd control in silence and a passive -25% spirit damage debuff. Very useful utility buy if you have Ricochet. YOU SHOULD BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE RICOCHET ALWAYS

   8. 8

      Plated Armor

Tank up even more ontop of the bullet resist that we have. Even if enemies buy armor piercing rounds it doesn't completely negate the usefulness of this item at all.

   9. 9

      Inhibitor

Extremely good item for healing reduction and reducing enemy spirit + gun damage. Requires buildup but works like Toxic Bullets after buildup and can reset duration forever.

   10. 10

       Unstoppable

Buy to survive against CC (like midboss pit against Dynamo you can safely contest with heal+unstop to punch/parry).

   11. 11

       Indomitable

Buy as a safety net. Lash ult / Haze sleeps / Abrams charge+ult / Mo Ult etc. It activates before stun. Works well w/ Counterspell (you can save this or fall back on counterspell if one gets used).`

6. 6Situationaloptional

Author's category · Buy CQ + Rebuttal VS melee ability characters (Calico, Drifter, Abrams etc). Even if you don't parry its vgood

   1. 1

      Close Quarters

buy vs calico/billy. More damage to Heroes in lane instead of Monster Rounds to shove wave. with wall trapping players w/ melee resist and more dmg is good or just trading in general

   2. 2

      Rebuttal

buy vs calico/billy. The 30% bonus damage applies to ALL of our damage to EVERYTHING for 6 SECONDS including GUN so even mid-game if you parry you gain 30% AMP ON YOUR GUN.

   3. 3

      Extra Charge

apply a lot more turret pressure in lane. high tempo

   4. 4

      Battle Vest

if enemy has bullet damage in order of priority: Haze, Vyper, Wraith (in lane mostly gun), Warden, Drifter, Billy, Ivy and uncommon spirit hero doing gun

   5. 5

      Spirit Shielding

Heroes like Seven, Pocket, GTalon, Viscous, Holliday, Kelvin (unless gun), Yamato,Mirage, Geist, Lash, Mina, Sinc, Shiv etc...

   6. 6

      Healbane

cheap anti-heal in desperate situations for early-mid game

   7. 7

      Stamina Mastery

      Built from Extra Stamina

I highly recommend you try to AIR DASH with this item instead of using ground dash. You get WAY more distance, especially if you chain two air dashes in a row. Doing it off a zipline, you go FLYING.

   8. 8

      Counterspell

Buy against Lash ult, Wraith ult etc... It works the same way Hazes' 2 maxed does but for spells. Lookup the full list on google.

   9. 9

      Dispel Magic

Sometimes necessary to buy against SILENCE, multiple DISARMS or more importantly SPIRIT BURNS which prevent us from healing. We can handle one anti-heal but two or more or spirit burn is bad for us.

   10. 10

       Healing Tempo

Rare buy. You can buy this if you have reliable teammates and you want them to benefit from Heal. Pair with Expansion and Duration items (1600)

   11. 11

       Juggernaut

       Built from Enduring Speed

Buy when u have no slots and need firerate reduction against m1s. would recommend Plated Armor first though. Combos well w/ Suppressor

   12. 12

       Recharging Rush

You can buy this instead of Extended Mag but it cost 800 more. Gives you a turret spawn after dealing 200 gun dmg for consistent turret pressure as you can launch out a few more in a fight

   13. 13

       Weighted Shots

       Built from Slowing Bullets

   14. 14

       Hunter's Aura

Play sidelanes to get the most out of this item. Provides bullet resist shred up to 20% (if only 1 enemy Hero) or 10% (2+ enemy Hero). Paired with BRS and Suppressor.

   15. 15

       Blood Tribute

Extremely good item to prevent getting stunned or CCd by long duration stuns like Abrams charge. Item is also used to move around faster.

   16. 16

       Capacitor

       CORRUPT THIS ITS BIG DPS.

   17. 17

       Lucky Shot

Buy only when you have high amounts of weapon damage 200+ (Remember to count Berserker stacks manually). This item will give you insane extra bonus damage additively.

   18. 18

       Mystic Expansion

turret range is so far you can use it from the bridge to enemies guardians (turrets have fall off so they wont deal full dmg).

   19. 19

       Suppressor

Efficient item to hinder enemy fire rate

   20. 20

       Compress Cooldown

       Constantly fight with Heal CDR

   21. 21

       Duration Extender

You can stay longer on your heal if it is maxed early and just commit. Hits 4800 earlier than QsR too.

   22. 22

       Rapid Recharge

       Built from Extra Charge

       Many turrets. Setup in advance.

7. 7Junkyard (Not used often just ignore this / Recycle for another patch)optional

   Author's category

   1. 1

      Titanic Magazine

      Built from Extended Magazine

Lets you shoot endlessly without needing to reload. You only buy this when buying Fury Trance

   2. 2

      Active Reload

If you buy Active Reload, pair it with Intensifying Mag completely skipping Extended/Titanic Mag. Titanic Mag is mainly for newer players to not get overwhelmed by constantly having to reload w/ AR.

   3. 3

      Tesla Bullets

Optimal for early wallbreaking anti-tank power. Later becomes a DEBUFF machine against enemies with BRS & Healbane (Urn fighter). Faster jungle too.

   4. 4

      Berserker

pair with blood tribute and u will reap the most benefits

   5. 5

      Burst Fire

      Built from Rapid Rounds

Cheap option when you cannot get SPELLSLINGER and just want the massive firerate.

   6. 6

      Glass Cannon

not very good too expensive relies on stacks more than the base stats it gives. maybe corrupted is worth

   7. 7

      Debuff Reducer

Reduces debuffs on us. Helpful against stuns/cc and lets us cast wall earlier (like if lash ults you, before he slams you can wall). Pocket ult, Abrams stun time etc

   8. 8

      Colossus

When you need resists ASAP. This version of Deadlock is spirit bursty so we build tanky and if they go on us, they have to waste a lot of resources (use it when heal is on cd or both)

   9. 9

      Siphon Bullets

Steals health from enemies which is kinda useful since it adds to your max health but it doesn't really give us a real dps increase

   10. 10

       Leech

       Built from Bullet Lifesteal

Turrets + Merc Mag give a lot of lifesteal/spiritsteal. It feels pretty decent while becoming super tanky.

   11. 11

       Spellbreaker

       Built from Debuff Reducer

Buy when you need 1) Spirit Resist & 2) Debuff Resist and spirit resist & 3) Have a lot of money to spend. Debuff Resist is for annoying things like Curse..

   12. 12

       Golden Goose Egg

Basically USE/HATCH after minute 10:01 for MAXIMUM value (buffs upgrade at 10:01). Hold until you need to buy an important item then pop egg. It's not always 10 mins thats just the minimum.

   13. 13

       Mystic Slow

procs from tesla. works on turrets too. not terrible, but not slot efficient

   14. 14

       Cursed Relic

Buy against near unkillable targets that always use mobility to get out (Pocket, Wraith etc).
